Вильгельм Кемпф, фортепиано

These tiny dances may not even be by Beethoven; scholars, dubious though they are, date them variously to 1807 and to 1822-23. Barely a minute and a half all together, they each have the characteristic "Scotch snap" and end with the same engaging little upward-creeping refrain. The first and fourth dances are twenty-four measures long, the others are a comparatively hefty thirty-two, and there's little else to remark on about these happy trifles.
